Box-A-Thon is a fundraiser that the Key Club uses to raise money for various foundations, usually a homeless shelter. This year the event is scheduled for October 11th at 7:30 pm. The Carpenter's have been great in volunteering to us the use of their home. Thanks guys! All members must bring $30 in pledges and a food dish. Remember, it's an overnight thing so make sure to bring some nice comfy boxes!
Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF
Every year Key Club participates in a huge international relief effort called UNICEF, a foundation that raises money to pay for educational, medical, nutritional, and other every day needs of young children in Africa. Many of the children are homeless and orphans because their parents have died of HIV/AIDS, and many have the illness themselves. Key Club collects money to donate to them on the last Sunday of October and raises almost $2 million a year.
